Through media and images, this exhibit profiles celebrities, citizens, and organizations who challenged South Africa’s apartheid regime despite resistance from their own government. Among the profiled are 2020 Kennedy Center Honoree Debbie Allen, singer Harry Belafonte, tennis player Arthur Ashe, and musician Steven Van Zandt.
